Bay windows are designed to make the most of sunlight in your home, and shutters help you get the light levels just right, whatever the time of day. Rather than other window coverings, which need to be either fully open or closed, shutters can simply be tilted to avoid the direct glare of the sun.

Options
Tilt Rod operation
The alternative to the more modern Silent Tilt is the traditional Tilt Rod. Tilt rods are connected to each individual louvre with metal pins, allowing for an easy movement to control the light.
Tilt Roads can be split to allow for different sections of the panels louvres to operate individualy and allow better control of light and privacy. Or the tilt rods can be offset, this is especially helpful with byfolding panels.
For a cleaner more modern look Silent Tilt is available.
Silent Tilt
If you are looking for a cleaner, more contemporary look for your shutters, the hidden (or “silent”) tilt rod option could be something to consider.
Rather than a visible rod, silent tilt controls the louvres by a mechanism within the panel itself, meaning that if you tilt one, the others move with it. For shutters with a mid-rail or tier-on-tier split, the different sections are still operated separately, as with the visible tilt rod option..

Powermotion Motorised
PowerMotion by S:CRAFT. This time-saving extra lets you control your shutters remotely, simply and effortlessly, at the touch of a button.
S:CRAFT’s intelligent design stops the motors if anything blocks the louvre motion. Making this a safe choice for younger children with inquisitive fingers.
Available in a wide range of styles and installation types; if you’re looking for motorised shutters, PowerMotion is the perfect choice.
Concealed Hinges
If you want to create a sleek and modern look, with clean lines, consider the option of a hidden hinge.
This optional extra is available when ordered with our Samoa range of shutters. Its thick, robust frames are proportionate in size to its louvres, producing a visually pleasing finish.
Room Darkening Shutters
Shutters do still let a small amount of light into your home, even when closed, which is why we offer an integrated room darkening blind system. Sitting within its own channel behind the shutter, the room darkening blind allows for excellent blackout combined with the contemporary look of shutters.
