Evolve® Zero means zero deflection
The blinds industry has always had a problem with tube deflection. In simple terms, tube deflection occurs when the central tube of a roller blind bends or sags under the weight of the blind attached to it. Because of this, the blind fabric sags, which causes visible V-shaped ripples or ‘smiles’.
The patented anti-gravity compensation system at the heart of Evolve® Zero counters deflection with never-before-seen results. We’re able to achieve less than 1mm of deflection on a previously impossible 5 metres width with a 44mm tube.
SYSTEM DETAILS
Evolve® Zero incorporates Zoomtech® gravity compensation technology into our popular Evolve® roller blind system. The result is a zero-deflection roller blind which makes what was once impossible possible.
Zoomtech® is a worldwide patented groundbreaking technology inserted within the Evolve® Zero roller tube. Following years of research and development, and using complex structural engineering physics, the outcome is beautifully simple and simply beautiful.
Evolve® Zero roller blinds can shade windows up to 5m wide in a single span using a roller tube that is only 44mm in diameter. Even the largest areas of glazing can be covered without needing to split into multiple blinds, and without needing to use a large ‘industrial scale’ roller system.
The benefits of having consistent design and finish of Evolve® roller blinds throughout an entire property, regardless of window size, are obvious from an aesthetic viewpoint. And the benefits increase further when it comes to concealing blinds in a blindbox or ceiling pocket.
Space is always at a premium for concealing blinds. Evolve® Zero makes it possible to fully conceal even very large blinds when open, and have beautiful looking fabric when the blind is closed.

Uses & Applications
Evolve® Zero has been specifically designed for electric blinds. There is a full range of market-leading wired or wireless motors available. These can be controlled via switch, radio remote, app, full smart building integration, or a combination of these. There are virtually no limits to what you can achieve.
There is little benefit adding the Zero system to blinds under 2.0m wide. Blinds 2.0m-2.5m wide will benefit from the system, depending on factors such as the drop of the blinds and the type of fabric used. Blinds at 2.5m wide and over are quite simply transformed by Zero technology.

Automation Options
Evolve® blinds can be powered using 240V, 24V or battery motors. Hardwired or wireless controls can be stand-alone or fully integrated with home automation or building management systems (BMS).
Intelligent digital motors are IP addressable and can be integrated with many control systems such as Control4, Crestron, Lutron, etc; and with protocols such as KNX, LON, BACNet, Modbus, Z-Wave, etc.

FABRICS
Evolve® Zero eliminates roller tube deflection. This eliminates the problem aften associated with wide roller blinds where the fabric ‘smiles’ or shows V-shaped lines. However, Evolve® Zero does not turn a poor fabric into a good fabric. Best results in terms of fabric ‘flatness’ will always be achieved by using quality fabrics.
We have a range of fabrics approved for use with Evolve® Zero, which include blackout, dim-out, sunscreen and sheer options.
