Markilux fabrics come in two distinctive types
Classic and timeless - acrylic awning covers
Awning fabrics produced from spun-dyed acrylic yarn are the most widely processed fabrics in Europe. Their material features and special surface finishes, which protect against dirt and staining, have been thoroughly tried and tested.

Innovative and atmosphere creating - sunsilk snc
sunsilk SNC (sunsilk nano clean, 100% PES) combines silky transparency and exceptional colour brilliance with optimum sun protection.
The highest possible degree of light-fastness also ensures that the fabric's intense luminosity remains intact for many years.
The fine fabric and ensuing low winding circumference on the roller reduce creasing.
The nano clean finish enables the cover to self-clean during rainy weather (water is only able to run freely from the cover when it is set at a minimum pitch of 14 degrees).
In terms of colour and light-fastness, weather-resistance and resistance to environmental influences, the fabric is equivalent to that made of acrylic yarn. Additionally, sunsilk SNC is highly tear-resistant, extremely resistant to dirt, grease and water and thus exceptionally low in maintenance.
Nano Dirt Repellant Powder Coating
Most Markilux awnings are available for a small extra charge with nano powder coated finishes. They are available in the colours nano anthracite metallic, nano stone grey metallic and nano off-white textured finish.
Whether in the metallic or the textured finish, the quality coatings are durable and easy to clean. The powder-coated colours are highly resistant and provide a dirt-repellent finish.
 
Simply block out blinding rays of sun or inquisitive glances using Shadeplus. This additional length of material is let down out of the front awning rod.
This provides additional protection from prying eyes and sun that we recommend for every markilux - and then at the same time conjures up an airy, private open air seating niche.
Shadeplus is a clever invention from Markilux which provides perfect sun protection under your awning. An additional roller tube is fitted in the front profile from which a second awning cover can be lowered – to a maximum 2.10 drop. A wonderful, shady, additional room in the open air is thus created: No matter if the sun is high or low, Shadeplus provides you with reliable protection.
The height of the sun is not only dependent on the time of day but also on the location, direction and season. A markilux awning with Shadeplus always guarantees you perfect protection – that’s a reason to order it along with your awning!
 
Remote control for your markilux.
You need a little button: When fitted with a comfortable electric motor your markilux reacts at the touch of a button. And the additional remote control means that you can control it from a distance. The newly developed markilux remote control is not just beautifully designed, it is also available in both a single channel and four channel version using the 433 MHz frequency. An extra comfort that you should allow yourself.
The mechanism of a markilux is extremely smooth running – it is easy to operate using the winding handle without using force. The motor drive is a more comfortable alternative: You need no more than a power supply point outside. It is possible to control the motor via a switch inside – but a remote control is less complicated and more flexible.
 
Lights off – spotlight on.
The right lighting creates atmosphere: Not only inside, also on the patio and the balcony. Therefore the markilux 6000 also is available with accentuated lighting using directional markilux spotlights or with flood lighting using fluorescent lamps which are integrated discreetly into the front profile.
Who says that light sources for the balcony and terrace can only be fitted on the house wall? The lighting in the front profile of your markilux 6000 transforms your sun protection in the evening into a romantically lit heaven under which you can sit wonderfully safely on long summer nights and dream the night away.
 
Sensor for Dynamic Wind Loads
A vibration and inertia sensor based on RTS technology for the wireless communication of wind signals.
Battery powered and therefore independent of the mains supply. Should be fitted to either the inside or the outside of the front profile. No wiring is necessary.
Nine sensitivity levels can be selected.
Compatible with all RTS radio-controlled receivers that can pick up wind signals.
Solar Cell Operated Sunlight Sensor
 The Sunis RTS Sensor will protect you from the sun and is fl exible enough to be fi tted to any façade. It can send extension and retraction signals to any awning with a radio-controlled motor without the need to be wired to the mains supply. It is supplied with power via the built-in solar cell.
If markilux awnings are to be protected from the effects of heavy wind at the same time the markilux Vibrabox must be used as well.
